MUSIC APPS:
I use the following software apps in my studio and recommend them:

Picture
Alfred’s Essentials of Music Theory Online — Contains elementary through high school music theory essentials, complete with notation and ear training exercises and music to provide context for learning.
Picture
Finale — Music composition and notation software. Familiar with Sibelius, MuseScore and others, but Finale is my personal gold standard.
Picture
PreSonus Studio One — Music production software. Can be used to do professional studio recordings, teaching students how to edit, mix and produce their own music.

Compose Yourself — This ingenious game lets students choose melodies on transparent cards, input them into the software, and listen to them playback with marimba or orchestra. A great teaching tool for demonstrating all the patterns, questions, and answers, there are in music.
